The Parable: “Three Views of the Same Situation”
One day, three women stood at a market stall near a display of apples.
The first sighed heavily:
“Look at these—so small and bruised! And the prices are daylight robbery. Nothing good left in the world these days… Everything’s going to the dogs.”
The second smiled warmly:
“Well, I think this year’s harvest is a proper blessing. Weather’s been tricky, but these apples might not be perfect—still, they’re ripe and juicy. The farmers must’ve worked hard.”
The third said nothing but reached for her purse:
“My grandson’s poorly at home. He adores baked apples. Couldn’t care less how they look—just so long as they’re made with love.”
The Moral:
We all see the world through our own story.
To one, it’s a bad batch of apples.
To another, a chance to support honest work.
And to a third, a way to show care and comfort.
So before you judge—ask yourself where your heart’s standing when you look at the world.
