**Diary Entry**
My ex-wife tried to sue me for half the house, but she hadnt anticipated that Id planned ahead. Our relationship ended in a courtroomnot that Ill point fingers, since both sides bear blame when a marriage fails.
The truth is, my second wife found herself a lovera wealthy businessman whod moved here years ago and opened a small café in our town. At first, she hid the affair, but eventually, they didnt even bother. Then she confronted me, demanding a divorce and half our home. She expected panic, but the flat was bought entirely with my own hard-earned money. My ex had nothing to do with it, apart from living there for two years. Yet she had the nerve to stake a claim.
I took it calmly. I didnt even try to talk her out of court. I just waited for her to lose and pay the legal fees. Id learned my lesson from my first wifeour case dragged on for over three years because we couldnt agree. Every hearing ended in a row.
In the end, she got what she wanted: half my assets. Shed found a sharp solicitor. My first ex left me with nothing, not even the house Id inherited from my father.
But this time, I was smarter. Before marrying my second wife, Id already bought a flat, renovated it myself, but put it in my brothers namesomeone I trust completely. When divorce papers arrived, it turned out I owned nothing legally. After my first disastrous marriage, no woman was ever going to swindle me again.
