**Diary Entry**
My ex-wife wanted to sue me for half the house, but she never expected Id seen it coming. Our relationship ended in a courtroomno point arguing who was to blame. In any marriage, both share responsibility.
Still, the truth was clear: my second wife had taken a lover. A wealthy businessman, hed moved here years ago and opened a small café in our town. At first, she tried hiding the affair, but soon, they didnt even bother.
Then she confronted me, announcing shed file for divorce and demand half our home. She mustve thought Id panic, but the flat was bought entirely with my hard-earned money. My ex had no claimshed just lived there two years. Yet there she was, bold as brass, making demands.
I stayed calm. Didnt even talk her out of court. Just waited for her to lose and pay the fees. Id learned my lesson from my first wife. That case dragged on three years, every hearing ending in a row.
In the end, my first wife got what she wantedhalf my assets. Shed found a sharp solicitor. Left me without the house Id inherited from my father.
But with the second one, Id been wiser. Before marrying, Id already bought a flat, renovated it myself, but put it in my brothers name. Hes the one person I trust completely. Come the divorce, I had nothinglegally, at least. After my first failed marriage, no woman would ever pull the wool over my eyes again.
